Maximilian Irlbeck has been working at the ZD.B since January 2016 and since April 2020 at Bayern Innovativ due to the takeover of ZD.B through Bayern Innovativ. He is responsible for the topic platform “Digitization in the energy sector” and works on innovation for the future of energy. As coordinator of the topic platform, he is the contact person for all energy related questions at the ZD.B. Before working at the ZD.B, Mr. Irlbeck worked for 6 years at the TU München, at the chair for software & systems engineering at the department of informatics. He led several research projects in the energy sector, e.g. he was evaluating E-Energy, a research project with 6 model regions in Germany with a total volume of 160 Mio. Euros, for the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy from the ICT perspective. Maximilian is an expert in the field of reference architectures for smart energy systems and wants to bring forward new ideas for the future of energy in Europe.
